Something Easy for a Change- Not to Mention Delicious Paprika Oven Chips
With all these complicated recipes, some with unusual ingredients, it
was a relief to come across a recipe which used ingredients I usually
have on hand and not at all challenging preparation.
The recipe called for the potatoes to be cut up and blanched for 5 minutes in boiling water. They didn't even have to be peeled. Then they were tossed in a mixture of oil, garlic, smoked paprika, semolina and salt and pepper and bunged into a really hot oven till crisp. How easy is that?
The only change we made was using Ruby Red potatoes instead of Desiree potatoes. Next time I would use a different baking tray that heated up more quickly. The fact that there was none left says it all. Very likely to make this again.
